THE GLOSSARY
Make sense of the notes.
Useful words for finding the direction you like.
vanilla
A broad scent descriptor that can read creamy, sweet or warm. Compare the other notes to understand the direction.
musk
A family of fragrance impressions often described as soft, skin-like or clean. Different musks can smell very different.
amber
A warm fragrance idea or accord, rather than a guarantee of one particular ingredient.
bergamot
A citrus note often used for brightness. The finished fragrance may still have a warm or sweet base.
pistachio
A nutty fragrance idea, often paired with creamy or sweet notes. It does not identify the ingredients or allergens in a formula.
gourmand
Consumer and fragrance language for food-inspired scent impressions such as vanilla, caramel or marshmallow.
A fragrance note describes an intended smell. It is not an ingredient list or a reliable allergy filter.
